ShopLocation AI combines public demographic information, business listings, and AI-assisted analysis to support preliminary site screening. Data availability and coverage can vary by location.
Address and Census geocoding
The U.S. Census Geocoder is used to match U.S. addresses and locate the corresponding census tract.
Business listings
Places are inferred demand signals, not measured foot traffic. Search results can be incomplete or capped. Missing/failed searches are not interpreted as no competitors. Authorized full reports use Google Places API (New) multi-category Nearby Search for competitors, supporting POIs, ratings and review counts where available.
Demographic datasets
The U.S. Census Bureau 2020–2024 ACS 5-Year Data Profile supplies survey estimates for population, household income, age, education, renter share and commuting. Reports label the actual census tract or county fallback, estimate period and retrieval time. These are not counts within the search radius. Margins of error are not included in the current report.
AI-assisted analysis
